Lathagrium auriforme
Jelly Lichen
Lathagrium auriforme, one of the Jelly Lichens. Flattish appearence when dry, swelling to a thicker form when wet. Reproduction by means of vegetative isidia. Isidia are complete packages of both fungal and algal elements and appear as finger-like projections from the thallus. Growing here on hard limestone with another black lichen, Verrucaria nigrescens.
