Ranunculus acris
Meadow Buttercup
Ranunculus acris, Meadow Buttercup. The tall Buttercup of hay meadows, flowering in late spring. Prefers damp grassland where it can grow prolifically. Differs from Ranunculus bulbosus in that the sepals are not downturned, and from Ranunculus repens in that it lacks the creeping habit.
