Gooseberry
Ribes uva-crispa, Gooseberry. A spiny, relatively small, shrub which grows naturally in hedges around Redmire. Fruits of the wild Gooseberry are small and sour to taste, compared with cultivated varieties. The flowers provide a good food source for solitary bees.
